October Offerings

The start of October may mean cooler temperatures, but it also means a fresh new issue of up! magazine

Hear that? It's the sound of summer wheezing its very last breath. The temptation to slip into post-summer depression is strong, but fear not, dear readers.

With October upon us, we now have a fresh batch of articles from our newest issue for you to peruse. A highlight is our cover story, it's sure to get you salivating. Check out up's rundown of yummy hand-held meals from a slew of WestJet destinations: Miami, Tofino, Honolulu, Vancouver, Dateland, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Havana, New York City, Montreal and Digby.

Here's what else we've got on the go:

• A killer list of the 25 best wines under $15 in Canada. Don't go to your local wine shop without this list. Trust us, both your wallet and taste buds will thank you.

• Our contributing editor, Eric Rumble, tagged along with wild boar hunters on Hawaii's Big Island.

• A guide to Richmond, British Columbia's delicious Asian restaurants.

• Feel like skipping out on the cool weather already? Two lovely Barbados hotels meet two very different budgets: The Crane Resort and Villa Marie Guesthouse

• The classic Mai Tai drink just became truly local. Kauai's Koloa Rum Company is distilling its own rum.

• Bland airport food is a thing of the past at the airports in these four WestJet destinations: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Montreal and New York.
