Take a bite out of Lucky Peach

Food magazine by chef David Chang of Momofuku

Call it what you will—radical Korean-American chef David Chang’s vanity project, a foodie’s magazine in the purest sense of the word, art or even “deliciously hip,” as Time did—Lucky Peach is all that, and more. Published by McSweeney’s, this is a new quarterly food magazine and iPad app by the chef/owner of Momofuku and ex-New York Times food writer Peter Meehan. Last summer, Lucky Peach devoted its entire first issue to all things ramen. Think haiku recipes, culinary A-listers like Anthony Bourdain and Wylie Dufresne as contributing writers, street-style comics, cool illustrations and personal essays on eating that verge on the philosophical. Get thyself to a newsstand, food fanatic. It’ll cost you US$10 a pop, but it’s well worth the read. Follow Lucky Peach on Twitter.
