up! magazine—WestJet Airlines’ award-winning in-flight publication—is seeking a Web Intern.

Allie and I need some help. With the new site there is even more work than ever before. So we are looking for the very first up! Web Intern to help.

Here's what we are looking for:

Web Intern
up! Magazine, published by RedPoint Media Group
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Duration: 6 months
Stipend: $1525 / month

up! magazine—WestJet Airlines’ award-winning in-flight publication—is seeking a Web Intern.

This position requires that you have a passion for the Web. You’ve got a Twitter, Facebook and other social networking accounts (an early adopter would be best). You have an understanding of search engine optimization and programming (HTML, CSS and a little PHP). You know what a pixel is and can resize a photo. You are a blogger (or a writer or even a journalist). You want to learn and play a part in creating a successful website.

Responsibilities:
Project manage several campaigns, including search engine optimization, design, development, etc.
Writing and uploading travel stories and other content
Assist in editing, proofing and fact-checking editorial content for the website
Assist in all activities on the site (contests, blogs, videos, etc.)
Engage with the community through social media
Develop promotional materials and write copy for website and campaigns
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education
Online leadership experience
Experience with a CMS (Drupal), programming languages, Photoshop, InDesign, Office and various Mac suites
Bonus points if you can edit video
