Wander through the bright-coloured blooms at the Waterton Wildflower Festival.
Running from June 18 to June 26, Waterton Lakes National park gives visitors the chance to learn more about Alberta's wildflowers with more than 80 educational workshops, walks and hikes. This nine-day event includes workshops on wildflower identification and habitat as well as photography workshops, watercolour sessions and afternoon tea. You'll be able to learn everything from which plants are edible to more about Waterton's native plants and sacred spaces.
Grab the kids and spend some time on the lake with the Wildflower Festival cruise or take the Flowers by Horseback guided tour and explore the beautiful Waterton wilderness.
If you are planning on attending, booking your accommodation in advance is recommended and can be done at mywaterton.ca.
