This week's travel value tip comes from Cheryl Dunwoodie about the Two Eagles Lodge Bed and Breakfast on Vancouver Island:

Carolyn and Steve are superlative hosts. Ask them about Maryland-style crab they will happily show you how it's done...they love to share their traditions! The nightly fire pit often finds friends with guitars dropping by to chat about their day, entertain and interact with the guests.

Carolyn and Steve are very knowledgable about attractions in the surrounding areas and willing to come along if they can. This is my third year coming up and I hope it never stops. There is lots of "bang for your buck" here.

I am proud to count Steve and Carolyn as my friends and have also enjoyed their hospitality many times. It is important to note, however, that they are on Vancouver Island not Denman Island.
