Vancouver, British Columbia
Vancouver was officially christened in 1886 to the delight of about 1,000 residents. Now, 2.1 million people—and growing—make up Metro Vancouver. The reports are all true: it rains a lot; however, that also means the temperature stays pretty level throughout the year. Aside from all the delicious seafood to be eaten, Vancouver offers a lot for travellers and residents alike, such as: Stanley Park including the Vancouver Aquarium, a myriad of ways to enjoy the ocean, hiking, golf and skiing, plus events like Vancouver International Film Festival and the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
