The Beach House Hotel Half Moon Bay

Oceanfront suites with loads of luxurious amenities

CASTING AWAY YOUR worries is easy when you’re coddled by a cool ocean breeze, the mouth of Pacific Ocean opened wide before you, a glass of wine in your hand and a wood burning fire at your back. This is the sort of ambiance that the Beach House aims to create, and its 54 spacious suites in a Cape Cod-style coastal property are definitely up to the task.

The guest rooms feature beautiful balcony views of the ocean and sailboats in nearby Pillar Point Harbor, and are stacked with amenities like fireplaces, wet bars with a full sink, microwave and bar fridge, free wi-fi, goose down comforters and Aveda bath products. More pampering continues throughout the hotel, from a secluded hot tub and pool overlooking the beach, to a cozy bon fire pit in the evenings, to a wine and cheese welcome in the lobby on Fridays and Saturdays. There’s also an ample fitness facility, and spa services including wraps, Reiki and aromatherapy—all of which can be arranged in-room if you don’t feel like moving.

Should you need to take a break from spoiling yourself, the property’s wide, sandy pathways lead to a gorgeous six-mile hiking or biking trail along the coast, or you can rent kayaks just down the beach.
