Cabot Beach

Cabot Beach is a sandy jewel replete with epic oceanfront

On PEI's north shore, fields of green brush up against Cabot Beach Provincial Park, a sandy jewel in this postage stamp of a province replete with epic oceanfront. Enlightened beachcombers flock here to swim, stroll romantically in soft sand like two figures in a Hallmark greeting card or simply lie supine in the sun.

Located on a headland at the eastern edge of Malpeque Bay, Cabot Beach is also the base for exploring internationally recognized migratory bird habitat. Grab a kayak, paddle and sunhat from Malpeque Bay Sea Kayak Tours and explore the shallow tidal lagoon of Malpeque Bay ringed with brilliant red earth sea cliffs, where you can observe local mussel fishers working the water or perhaps glimpse the rare and threatened Piping Plover, which nests in the area.
