Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

A little taste of Nantucket in Central Florida

SET ALONG THE beachfront of the manmade Stormalong Bay and nestled beside its partner resort, the Beach Club, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort attempts to transport its guests from central Florida to Nantucket. A New England theme embodies all aspects of the hotel, from the lighthouse in the bay to the welcoming Captains greeting weary travellers at the front door.

The resort’s standard rooms live up to their designation, with two queen beds, a small

desk and average-sized bathroom. But the true appeal of the Yacht Club is the pool area and the resort’s proximity to Epcot Center, a mere five-minute walk away.

Almost three acres of waterslides, currents, sand-bottomed kiddie pools and two quieter pools all make up an impressive aquatic area that will make it tough to get the kids to the Magic Kingdom, which is only a short monorail ride away.

And for parents looking for a little downtime, the Yacht Club offers in-room babysitting services, leaving couples free for a steak dinner at the onsite Yachtsman Steakhouse, or for the particularly daring, a five-minute stroll around the bay to Disney’s Boardwalk area and its cluster of restaurants, nightclubs and sport bars.

Rooms start at US$315.
