
Dragon's Fire Golf Club is not, of course, exclusively for female golfers. But to owner Bryan DeCunha, too many courses seem to be precisely the opposite: long, difficult and designed to impress the game’s long-hitting, low-handicap intelligentsia and earn “Best New Course” accolades.
That’s why DeCunha expects average recreational players—men and women alike—to find his latest layout, which turns one in May just north of Hamilton, Ontario, well suited to their games, regardless of ability.

APRÉS GOLF: To wrap up a long day, chow down some Italian goodness at Mount Nemo, where large, hot servings toast up the cozy restaurant. A 15-minute drive, the family-run hub is open for lunches and dinners, with cheap but delicious yumminess.
Green fees are $55 Monday to Friday (twilight only), $52 for members; on Friday, Sunday and holidays fees are $75, and $71 for members.
