Novice skiers and park jibbers win with this season’s expansions at Marble Mountain. For beginners, there’s a new surface lift (a.k.a. magic carpet) for easy uphill transportation. There’s a new novice run called the Jigger on Marble’s lower half, and, for the airborne, an expanded terrain park filled with jumps and rails, including a bright-yellow car and a fishing dory.
Deals and Steals: Three-day passes are 10 per cent off all season, and guests at the slopeside Marble Villa qualify for a 15 per cent discount on day passes. But the best deal may be Marble’s 2009/2010 season pass for $350—the equivalent of seven regular-priced day passes. Need another reason to sign up? Season pass holders receive an extra 15 per cent off stays at Marble Villa.
