Bohemian beauty ups the ante with luxurious touches
IT’S TOUGH TO walk the line between bohemian and luxurious, but this charming, renovated boutique hotel in a small, bustling beach town on Maui’s north shore pulls it off with aplomb. Poised on the edge of a five-kilometre stretch of stunning white sand beach and just steps from a bevy of happening bars, restaurants, shops and cultural diversions in Paia town, the Paia Inn Hotel offers an unbeatable home base for basking in sun, surf, suds or whatever floats your boat.
Originally built in the 60s, the property’s natural beauty has been upgraded with stylish furniture and accents (think leather and palm wood couches, shell chandeliers, funky art work). Guests can rent bikes or snorkeling gear from the front desk, or kick back in seclusion on the private patio—also a great spot to enjoy a free morning paper, coffee and pastries, or to groove during the live jazz shows on Friday nights.
Rooms are packed with great amenities and details, including 500 thread count sheets, free wi-fi, flat screen cable TV, air conditioning, iPod clock radios and hardwood bamboo floors. There are also spa, valet and concierge services available, private beach access and a 2-to-1 guest-to-staff ratio.

We love this Hotel more than any place we have been. We go back often. It is the perfect blend of being in the coolest town on Maui and having access to great beaches, restaurants, mamas fish house, hana, and is only 10 minutes to the airport. There is really no better place to stay on Maui then at the Paia Inn Hotel
