Nine years ago at the 2000 Telus Skins Game, Sergio Garcia became so enamoured with Predator Ridge Golf Resort in Vernon, north of Kelowna on the edge of the Okanagan Valley, that he bought two of the luxurious five-star “cottages” that stand sentry along the 7th fairway.
In 2006, it was voted by the BCPGA as Golf Facility of the Year—the first two-time winner in the awards history, and was rated among the Top 100 of all the courses in Canada by Score Golf. Predator Ridge features more than 10,500 yards of Les Furber golf spread across three substantial nines. Garcia lived on the 7th hole of the Peregrine nine, a 386-yard downhill par 4 lined with forest and fescue.
When you’re done, there are three outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis and basketball courts and a fitness centre, not to mention the Rituals Aveda Spa.
