Timber Ridge

A sophisticated, top-tier golf experience at a fraction of the price

Voted best golf value in the province in 2006 by Ontario Golf magazine, Timber Ridge does something remarkable: it delivers a top-tier golf experience at a fraction of the price many of its more well-heeled contemporaries.

The course measures only 6,633 yards from the back tees, but that’s more than enough real estate to mount a stern challenge to even the most talented player.

An hour’s drive east of Toronto, Timber Ridge is a sophisticated layout featuring slick, manicured greens, dramatic elevation changes and lush fairways that meander through stands of mature forest, all for a green fee that puts its Toronto-area competitors to shame.

TOTAL YARDS: 6,633

 NUMBER OF HOLES: 18

 LONGEST HOLE: 4th, par 5, 545 yards

APRÉS-GOLF: Timber Ridge sits a short drive away from Ontario’s spectacular Presqu’ile Provincial Park, where $8.90 gives you access to the park’s natural splendour, as well as a host of family-friendly events. Birders will revel in the Warblers and Whimbrels Weekend on May 16-17, which features elusive birds migrating to their northern nesting grounds. Visit nature and gift shops within the park, or enjoy some of the longest and cleanest sand beaches in the province (friendsofpresquile.on.ca).

Green fees are $50 to $60, depending on the day.
