World’s Largest Paperclip

Visit this roadside attraction in honour of Kyle MacDonald

SOMEWHERE, NEAT FREAKS are planning a road trip. Their destination? The town of Kipling, Saskatchewan, two hours southeast of Regina, which now boasts the world’s largest paper clip.

The gargantuan piece was created in honour of Kyle MacDonald, who famously began with a red paper clip, made 14 swaps and ended up with a house in Kipling. A Regina company sponsored and built the solid-steel structure, which weighs almost 4,000 pounds and is 4.5 metres long – more than 1.5 metres than the previous record-holding clip in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
