Zero Gravity Corporation

Learn to float in space like a pro

NASA KENNEDY SPACE Center opened its doors to ordinary folk (with four grand to burn) a chance to walk on the moon. Sort of. Zero Gravity Corporation will send wannabe astronauts to altitudes between 24,000 and 34,000 feet, where specially trained pilots introduce them to parabolic flight maneuvers akin to a roller coaster ride.

The plane is initially pulled up to approximately 45 degrees “nose high,” then brought down in free fall to reach zero gravity for 25- to 30-second intervals, simulating the feeling of being in outer space.Previously, the modified Boeing 727-200 - named G-Force One - had flown weightless flights out of Fort Lauderdale International Airport for $3,750 per passenger. But the move to NASA’s runways, which will launch up to seven flights per month, includes the addition of a veteran astronaut on each flight to explain the surreal experience. And to teach you how to float like a pro without losing your lunch.

Cost is $4,950 per person.
