Gyro Beach

Is a beach an attraction? I hope so, because Gyro Beach is amazing. Shallow for miles so you can wade out into the warm water (always warm in summer because the sun shines constantly and Okanagan Lake is small enough that the whole things gets nice an toasty by mid-July).

It's super sandy, and always busy so it's great for people watching. Plus, there's a scooter rental place across the road, so when you're sick of the beach, you can just pay a small amount to ride a scooter around downtown. I'm not sure if the price has changed but when I was there you put down a refundable deposit of $100, and then it was like $20 to rent the scooter for a couple of hours.

Using a scooter is a great way to get around town if you don't have a car, and a fun adventure even if you do. Plus, Kelowna is the perfect city for it - the weather always cooperates.
