My Granddaughter's Birthday

by
January 24th, 2010

Nothing can keep my away from spending time with my granddaughter on her birthday. I flew from Edmonton to Vancouver on January 21st to have an early birthday party with my granddaughter. Her birthday is actually on January 25th, but we celebrated on Saturday the 23rd so I could get back in time to go to work on Monday morning.

I only have two grandchildren who live in Vancouver, BC and I live near Edmonton, AB. I fly out at least once a month to see them and they fly out to be with me all summer. The weather allowed us to have an outdoor pinata party, compared to the snow and fog I left back home in Edmonton.

It is so much easier to fly in the winter than to brave the snow and cold on the highways and not to mention the time spent driving. Flying leaves us more time to spend together. Thank you WestJet for getting me there in no time, which left me with plenty of time with my grandkids.
