Value Awards Contest - Rules and Regulations
By entering this Contest, all entrants accept and agree to these rules:
1. To Enter
No Purchase Necessary. The Contest runs from July 1, 2010 until March 31, 2011 (the “Contest Period”).
Nominate your value business(es) by location and category with your name and email address. Please include comments about your experience at the nominated place of business.
To enter by handwritten paper mail, send your nominations with aforementioned details to:

Entries must be emailed/postmarked by the last day of the Contest. In the event of a dispute over the identity of a Web entrant, entries will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the e-mail account. Entries become the property of up! magazine and will not be returned. Entrants may nominate as many candidates as they wish, as often as they wish. Entrants may win up! contests a maximum of one time per year.
2. Drawing
A random drawing from all eligible entries received will be conducted by RedPoint Media Group. Odds of winning depend on total number of eligible entries received. One prize per household per calendar year.
3. Prizes
Prizes will be announced shortly.
4. Disclaimer
All Prizes must be accepted as awarded, without substitutions or transfers, and cannot be converted to cash. Any additional costs incurred in collecting and using a Prize are the winner’s and his/her guest’s responsibility.
5. Eligibility
Competition is open to all Canadian residents who are of age of majority, according to the law of the province in which they reside. The contest is not open to Employees of RedPoint Media Group or WestJet, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, sponsors, prize suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies, or to members of those individuals’ immediate families (spouse and parents, children and siblings and their spouses), nor to individuals living in the same household of such employees are neligible. Void where prohibited by law. Contest subject to all applicable provincial, federal, local laws and regulations. By participating, entrants agree to these official rules and accept decisions of RedPoint Media Group as final in all matters relating to the contest. By entering any contest, entrant permits RedPoint Media Group’s use of the data input into entrant’s entry form for RedPoint Media Group’s marketing and sales purposes. The entrant consents to the use of their name and photo in any publicity surrounding the winning Prize, including name and photo in the magazine. Entries may be subject to determining the effectiveness of the magazine among readers and that of its advertising.
6. To Claim Prize
Winners will be notified by e-mail and or phone and will have to correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by a RedPoint Media Group representative. If no response to any such e-mail or telephone inquiry is made within seven days of the date on which it was first made, the drawn winner will be deemed to irrevocably forfeit the Prize and a new winning entry shall be drawn. All decisions of RedPoint Media Group representatives are final. Winners may be required to, and if ever asked hereby agrees to, complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release, prior to the issuance of travel documents. Winners’ guest(s), if any, must be either 18 or older or an immediate family member, and each Winner and each guest(s) may be required to, and if ever asked hereby agrees to, execute a Liability Release and a Publicity Release prior to the issuance of travel documents.
7. Limitation of Liability
WestJet, RedPoint Media Group and their respective sponsors, employees or contractors are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any contest related materials; stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries. Winners are responsible for payment of taxes on prizes and for any other expenses relating to the use of prizes. RedPoint Media Group reserves the right to cancel or modify any or all of the contests if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of any or all of the contests as determined by RedPoint Media Group in its sole discretion.
